Our Story

History:

 

The adventure that began in a small town just outside of Detroit has carried me to South Orange, New Jersey. The journey has taught me many lessons, but right now it’s this: 

 

We’re all in this together.

 

I studied fashion at Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago, then I spent the next 13 years crisscrossing the country as an Urban Outfitters employee. I learned the retail business inside and out, top to bottom, and along the way, I aspired to open my own store that better reflected my values - providing soft, stylish, and sustainable clothing that gives back to the community.

 

Sadie’s offers ethically produced women’s and men’s clothing and home goods from local suppliers and suppliers who believe in and work toward a sustainable future. To that end, we donate 1% of every sale to charity. Each month we give back to a different charity to support vulnerable women & children, racial equality, people with disabilities, and more.

 

We are devoted to learning and leading our community toward a thoughtful & sustainable future. Will you join us?

 

Sadie’s storefront in South Orange opened in November, 2017. Sadie was my cat. Well...she was my boyfriend’s cat, and when I married my boyfriend, Sadie became my cat, too. Sadie died in 2015 and naming the store for her is my way of keeping her with me. She was warm, kind, and inviting. That’s the spirit I envision for the store.

Unwashed and unworn items may be returned for a full refund within 14 days of purchase. If shipping back post mark must be with in 14 days of purchase.

Do you provide International delivery?

At this time we do not offer international delivery.

 

How do I return an item?

Unwashed and unworn items with the tags and packaging intact can be returned in store or by shipping back to the store. please include a copy of your receipt with the return and allow 3-5 days for your return to be fully processed. You will be notified once item has been received.

 

What is your returns policy?

Unwashed and unworn items with the packaging and tags intact can be returned with in 14 days of purchase, and receive a store credit when returned with in 30 days. 

If shipping back to the store post mark must be with in 14 days of purchase for a full refund and 30 days from purchase for store credit. Please allow 3-5 days for returns to be fully processed..

How do I track my order?

 

All Items are sent Via UPS and a tracking number will be provided to you through email once you package is on its way!

 

How can I contact your couriers?

Contact information to UPS will be included with the tracking number once the item has shipped.
